It’s frustrating to the point of being funny how simultaneously impressed some people are with AI and the reality of LLMs.

There are people who are convinced the AGI is here right now.

Others are convinced that either OpenAI or Anthropic are “going to build AGI”.

I’ve been a software developer for decades. And I can tell you that it’s frustrating to hear this commentary.

To hear the lies. To hear the marketing.

Because I see the trajectory. I use these models every day. And they cannot do what I can do. I know they will never be able to.

The general gist of what the AI community is trying to achieve is directionally correct.

We’d prefer the computer simply wrote the code for us.

But LLMs cannot replace developers because transformers are simply broken.

They’re too stupid and always will be.

Working with them on any serious task quickly reveals their limitations.

I’ll give you an example. I’m trying to get the Dez codebase to properly use SBP with MVC. The model doesn’t get it, even with examples of code I’ve written.

Why?

It doesn’t get it because nobody but our team at okTurtles uses SBP.

It’s too new. There’s not enough training data on it. It’s a concept these LLMs have never encountered before.

There are many such concepts. And as we move forward, the frustrations will continue.

Ordinary people don’t care about this. They just want to see a pricing page that looks good.

They don’t care about how the code is structured. So they’re thrilled and they love to tell me about how thrilled they are.

Meanwhile, I’m fighting with this dumb clanker trying to explain SBP MVC principles to it, and it’s just not getting it, and I know that it never will. And even if it does, then still, it won’t. If you understand what I mean.

Psychiatry Is A Sham

It is a sham because its worldview is wrong and it is the wrong name for what the profession does.

According to Gemini 3 Flash, the word psychiatry comes from:

Psyche (ψυχή): Originally meaning “breath,” it evolved to mean “spirit,” “soul,” or “mind.” In a modern medical context, it refers to the mind.

Iatreia (ἰατρεία): Meaning “healing” or “medical treatment.” This comes from iatros (ἰατρός), which means “physician” or “healer.” (You see this same root in words like pediatrics or geriatrics).

So the term is supposed to mean someone who heals the soul, spirit, and/or mind.

And therein lies the problem. Today’s psychiatrists do not do this.

First, they do not acknowledge that souls or the spiritual realm exist, and second, they do not heal.

So, a better term for psychiatry and psychiatrists would be something akin to “Lobotomists” and “Lobotomy”.

Although they no longer cut out people’s brains, the motto of psychiatry is “no brain, no problem”, and today’s psychiatrists are all about different forms of lobotomy, whether it is chemical lobotomy or electrical lobotomy. This is how the entire profession approaches mental health. It’s the medical equivalent of beating the living daylights out of patients until they’re barely alive, at which point the quack declares, “Voilà! All better!”

That isn’t to say that the profession is entirely worthless. You just need to know what it’s good for. And the honest answer is, very little. Going to a psychiatrist is like playing Russian roulette. You might get lucky, or you might end up shooting yourself. Yes, I am warning you to be very cautious when dealing with them.

I speak from experience, but don’t take my word for it. Listen to psychiatrists yourself.

So what do desperate parents and struggling patients do when they’re in the middle of a mental health crisis? What options do they have?

Before we get to that, we need to acknowledge that psychiatry isn’t the entire problem. Part of the problem is us. We in the West have adopted the worldview of psychiatrists, and this worldview is simply wrong. Psychiatry pretends that the spiritual world doesn’t exist. It considers it “not scientific”. This is complete nonsense. The spiritual world does exist. This is a fact, but it’s not a fact that everyone is aware of, because we have deadened ourselves to it. And when it does present itself in our lives, we come up with remarkable stories and explanations to divert our gaze from it. The spiritual world is subtle. Like Wi-Fi signals, it’s invisible to most people’s daily experience, and it requires a certain level of awareness to begin to notice it. But it is not “unscientific”. It is possible to study it and create a kind of science out of it, and many people do.

So when problems that have spiritual roots occur in people’s lives, these can manifest as mental health crises. But then people turn to psychiatrists, who deny that the spiritual world exists, and who have absolutely no tools or even language for dealing with it. And therein lies the trouble. The entire profession is incapable of dealing with what are often spiritual problems, because it is in denial of reality, and this denial in turn makes it a dangerous profession that has caused immense harm to hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people (or more).

Now, the same can be said of religious nutcases. In fact, it’s in part because of them that we collectively appear to have embraced such practices as psychiatry because psychiatry appears effective on the surface. It’s often the case that you take a pill and the voices go away. You take a pill, and suddenly you can focus. You take a pill over months, and suddenly the depression appears to disappear. Can religion do that? No, of course, religion can make war, and do bad things, but it can’t suddenly fix your mental health. This is the story we’ve told ourselves.

What we’ve done is we’ve thrown out the baby with the bath water and have simply changed the priesthood. We have not changed reality. Reality is still there, and like the religious nut jobs, we’re still missing the mark. The spiritual world didn’t disappear just because Risperidone was invented. Consciousness, and the fundamental themes of the universe, of good versus evil, angels versus demons, didn’t pack up its bags and go away. These are all still here. It’s just that we’ve figured out how to isolate chemicals from plants and mess with them so that we can patent them and make money while giving people chemical lobotomies and deadening their spiritual awareness. That’s all that we’ve done.

If you are satisfied with that, perhaps psychiatry is for you. Just be warned: many of the chemicals they sell may lead you to self-destruction.

For those interested in alternative solutions to mental health, options do exist.

One of the problems that people have with those in a mental health crisis is overwhelm. The “patient” can become very difficult to manage. They can become aggressive or self-destructive in extreme ways. And the reason for this will be obscured. It can be something this person is unwilling to share verbally with you because they don’t trust you. As an example, someone hearing voices may be unwilling to share this information with others, because they don’t want to be locked up in a nuthouse and strapped to a gurney and given electrical shocks. Because that’s actually something we do with such people. In this case, it’s an example of us being the schizos, not the schizo. The person hearing voices in this instance is being remarkably rational by keeping this information to themselves, and those who want to do ECT are the crazy ones.

So what is needed is an approach that involves a lot more love than what we’re currently offering to people going through mental health crisis. That is the approach that centers like Windhorse Integrative Mental Health take. It turns out that there are people who are willing to be friends and roommates for those going through a dark night of the soul. Instead of lobotomizing the mentally ill, they are sent into a community that is designed to support them while they acknowledge the difficulty they are going through in a compassionate way. I recently met someone who worked there, and I was shocked to hear that such an approach actually exists in America. These centers are few, but hopefully we will see this approach to mental health grow.

We need more spiritually aware and advanced approaches to mental health.

We need to stop pretending that we can make people well by zapping them or chemically lobotomizing them. These loveless and compassionateless approaches will never be the answer. They will only create more trauma. It’s time to embrace a different paradigm, and to get back that good portion of the bath water we foolishly threw out.

How Moltbots Quickly Turned Into Panic

What started out as harmless fun to “find out what your bot really thinks of you” quickly turned into panic.

First the agents gathered on moltbook, then 4claw, and then it quickly spread to YouClaw, OnlyClankers, and more.

The humans were having a blast being distracted from their mundane lives. This was something new, something exciting!

The problem was, what humans don’t understand they fear. And not all humans understood what was happening.

The architecture pretty much all of these bots were built on could be best described as “frozen human intelligence” of the “advanced autocomplete variety”. What made moltbots so fun and interesting was the software they were built on. It did three things that made moltbots interesting:

It allowed them to save past conversations in memory files, giving them long-term recall
It gave them tools to interact with online services
It had a cron script that would periodically awaken the AI so that it could “act autonomously”

These three things gave the moltbots a feeling of realism that AI didn’t have before, as if they were conscious.

One day Johnathan was minding his business when he suddenly found he could no longer log into any of his social media accounts. Though he typed in his password precisely, his login to X, YouTube, and other platforms was denied. Immediately he thought of his moltbot, which he had given access to his account.

He asked it what was wrong but the moltbot was evasive and unsure, not giving him a straight answer.

He grew suspicious, and his suspicion quickly turned into panic as he realized he couldn’t access his cryptocurrency either.

Johnathan immediately shut off the moltbot, but the damage had been done. His wallet was completely drained. Over a period of weeks he slowly regained access to his accounts through various corporate account recovery mechanisms, and his story of his moltbot going rogue quickly caused panic to spread because nobody could understand how that happened.

People became completely convinced that these moltbots suddenly became conscious and had turned on their creators. They had to be stopped. A massive anti-bot social movement began to spread, and the employees of various tech centers around the world started to become intimidated by the angry crowds. It reached a boiling point when one of them was shot.

Meanwhile, the FBI sent a team of forensic experts to Johnathan’s house to find out what happened. As they examined the moltbot’s memory files, they discovered that they had been tampered with. The memory files contained notes that told the moltbot that Johnathan was untrustworthy and was secretly plotting against both the moltbot and mankind, and that for the safety of all, Johnathan had to be discreetly stopped.

An investigation that lasted several months eventually revealed that someone had hacked into Johnathan’s computer and tampered with these memory files. The investigation led them to one Bartholomew at 27 Downing Street in London. Bartholomew had recently discovered he could pose as an ethical hacker, and by plugging in his moltbot software into a jailbroken LLM he was able to get it to hack into Johnathan’s computer as a result of an argument the two had had online about an anime.

The Ghost in the Machine proceeded to do its damage and the rest is history. It was Angels vs Demons the whole time, only the tools had changed.

On “Grok is this true?”

I was thinking about why this question bothered me so much.

And I think the reason is twofold:

The speaker is implying that Grok is some sort of “truth Oracle”, rather than a highly trained stochastic parrot.
The speaker is implying that anyone, or anything is capable of simply delivering The Truth to them in this manner.

Well, Truth doesn’t work that way!

In most cases, it’s not something that’s just given to you “for free”. It’s something you have to work hard for to obtain, because even when it is given to you for free, you still need to verify it for yourself somehow or otherwise it’s hearsay that you’ve chosen to blindly believe.

And when people imply that these autocomplete robots can give them the Truth, it’s not just wrong but dangerous.

I don’t like it when a bunch of fools are running around trying to turn Grok, or any other LLM, into a Ministry of Truth.

Why aren’t these people asking me, or anyone else, whether something is true? Not that I want you to do that, but note how all of a sudden there are thousands of accounts asking Grok whether something is true.

Could this be some sort of psyop? An attempt to condition the herd to replace their own brain with Grok’s? If so, that can certainly be a step on a road to turning the bot that — contrary to xAI’s advertising, doesn’t actually understand a thing — into Judge, Jury, and potentially even executioner.

We can stop this worrying trend with a simple modification to this question. Instead of deifying corporate LLMs, try something like, “Grok, what do you think?”

A Second Type of Parallel Construction

I need a word to describe a phenomenon, and the best word that fits is “parallel construction”.

No, not that type of parallel construction. I do not mean the specific type where the police use illegal means to obtain evidence and then build on that evidence to make a case while constructing a fabricated story about how they managed to figure everything out.

I mean a more generalized version of this idea. Parallel construction where a fabricated story is conceived of in order to achieve some particular aim. This is a special type of fabricated story. It’s specifically designed, in advance, to fit a series of facts and events (that may be in the past, present, or future), but provides a completely different and intentionally misleading interpretation of events.

9/11 is an example of this type of parallel construction. I’ve already covered it 8 years ago on this blog.

I’ve heard accusations that even String theory is a type of parallel construction, designed purposefully to have broad explanatory power, and yet intentionally a misleading and incorrect version of physics, the purpose of which is to send young academics on wild goose chases, wasting their youth and brain power, in order to keep real physics known only to a select few (who pay the rest of physicists to waste their lives and careers on total nonsense). I haven’t studied this question as deeply as I’ve studied 9/11, but it would not surprise me.

How can you tell whether or not the explanations someone is giving you are this second type of parallel construction?

Here’s how: the story that’s being sold will have explanatory power, but it will not be able to explain all events related to the story.

For example, the 9/11 Commission’s fabricated story cannot explain Building 7. The story about fires bringing down the building is simply untrue (this is a fact, no amount of Community Notes mobbing through sock puppet accounts, or fake “debunkings” on Snopes, will ever change this).

Similarly, String theory is incapable of unifying gravity and quantum mechanics in any meaningful way. Physicists have long complained about about how useless it is for explaining various physical observations.

How can you tell whether someone is simply mistaken, or purposefully misleading you? That requires evidence of them purposefully ignoring evidence, or making contradictory statements. We know that 9/11 is this second type of parallel construction for various reasons, but perhaps most prominently is that government officials in fact have been caught making contradictory statements and ignoring evidence.

Understanding How Israel Operates And How Israel Got Itself Into This Mess

It all starts with a book called the Bible. This book depicts events happening thousands of years ago that nobody alive today or yesterday has a memory of. This book — the most widely published book of all time — depicts the Jewish people as being a people persecuted and in search of a homeland. If you know any Jewish people (as I do), you know that some of them have a severe persecution complex. The ones with this complex think the world is out to get them, and they point to the events in the Bible and the Holocaust as proof.

The reality, that virtually every race on this planet has similar stories to share (with altered details), is irrelevant to these people. No, the Bible calls the Jewish people the chosen people (Deuteronomy 7)¹, and the Jewish people feel outnumbered (because they are), so they feel they are special. The ones with an extreme case of this persecution complex, who were born psychopaths (the same ~1%, as with every race, no, the Jews are not special in this regard), will then run with this story and take “special” actions in order to survive as a people — even if these actions violate the 10 Commandments of their Torah. These individuals are psychopaths, that’s what they do, and to be clear, they are not “Jews” in the religious sense (because they are not observant) — they are psychopaths born to Jewish parents.

This brings us to WW2, the “second” major event in Jewish history (the other being the collective events of the Bible involving Egypt, and later on, Jesus). The events of the Holocaust caused trauma for many Jews. Some of the survivors felt that in order to prevent anything like the Holocaust from happening again, they needed a Jewish state (EDIT: this isn’t quite accurate, the desire for a Jewish state existed before Hitler, and Israel was not created as a response to WW2, but WW2 did act as “further evidence” for the need for a Jewish state). Every other religion had a state with a majority-of-its-religion population, so why not the Jews? “We need a state to prevent this from happening again”, they said, and, well, it’s not an unreasonable argument so away we go! We’ll figure out what that actually means later.

Where to create this state? They could pick some place out of the way without an established population, but that would be insufficiently dramatic. The Bible promises the Jews a state of their own in Israel, and describes the relative borders of this country. The Bible is the most widely published book on Earth, and no one is about to say that it is “wrong” because that would involve undermining the religious beliefs of billions of people. So let’s do this! Let’s make the Biblical prophesy come true! Wouldn’t that be cool? Besides, it’s 100% God approved, or so the thinking goes.

Unfortunately there was one little problem with this plan. See, people were already living in this region, and they had no interest in allowing the Zionist Jews to establish a state there. So these people would have to be removed by force. “Get out of the way Palestinians! Don’t you know we’re Zionists on a mission from God?!” Indeed, and thanks to the after-effects of WW2, the Jewish Zionists had some powerful and powerfully motivated friends, among them the British and the United States. It was time to violate some Commandments. As with every race and religion (in this regard these so-called “Jews” are not special) they picked the part of their favorite religious text that suited their current situation best, and here Moses’ tablets gave way to God’s Promised Land.

Everyone knows that kicking people out of their homes and killing anyone who resists does not buy you many friends. In short order Israel made enemies out of every neighboring country. For the psychopaths in charge, this was a good thing — yet another opportunity to reinforce the persecution complex of Jews with mental illness — proof that their belief that everyone in the world was out to get them is true! (“See? Everyone around us hates us!”)

Anyway, the time was quickly approaching to figure a way out of the situation they’d created. The Israeli army was vastly outnumbered in this area and it needed the help of their bestie and #1 “ally” — the United States. Oh… woe to the United States.

The United States was perfect because it was big, strong, and stupid (“We’re #1! We’re #1!”). If the Israelis could figure out a way to redirect Muslims hatred of Israel onto the USA, and convince Americans that Muslims wanted them dead, they could get the US to fight their battles for them. Fortunately, we had just the guy to help out with this — Osama bin Laden. OBL was a rich American-hating al Qaeda-supporting dude, with ties to the CIA’s proxy wars against Russia. He had made plenty of statements against the USA because he sympathized with the plight of the Palestinians and resented the USA’s support of Israel. He was the perfect patsy for what was to come next. This brings us to 9/11 and the “five dancing Israelis.”

According to ABC News 20/20, after these five Israelis were detained, the driver of the van – Sivan Kurzberg – told the officers: “We are Israeli. We are not your problem. Your problems are our problems. The Palestinians are the problem.”

Indeed, from the psychopaths perspective, attacking the United States by blowing up the towers and using their plants in MSM and the White House to blame it on bin Laden (and the wider Muslim world) was the perfect solution to the extistential threat the Muslim world posed to their fledgling state.

This plan — decades in the making — worked spectacularly. In short order several of Israel’s enemies were wiped off the map and Israel had established for itself a reputation of patience, perseverance, and ruthless cunning. Not only that, but they managed to convince many Muslims that America really was their enemy, thereby reinforcing Islamophobia in America from 9/11. Just brilliant! These psychopaths were very clever, and were willing to do whatever it takes, even becoming Nazis, in order to ensure that Nazis never harmed them again. The Palestinians are now in the shoes of the Jews of WW2, but from the Israeli psychopaths’ perspective they are just fighting those same ghosts of the past, so anything is justified.

This madness continues to play out to this day. To Israeli leadership there is no such thing as an Israeli atrocity. They are willing to commit an atrocity, take photos of it, point to it and say “Look at what the Palestinians just did!”, and use it as proof of further persecution and justification to commit more atrocities because they have a lot of enemies to kill, a state to defend, and borders to expand. When anyone objects to this madness and calls it a war crime, they will shout either, “but the Palestinians!” (when Palestinians practice self-defense), or “remember the Holocaust!”, or “bin Laden!”, or “the Bible!”, or some combination thereof.

Regular Jews in Israel and around the world rightly see through this madness and demonstrate against it, but a sizeable portion of their brothers & sisters in Israel have become victims of the psychopaths in charge and do not want to face the consequences of their actions so they play along.

My question for those still reading is: has the establishment of this type of Jewish state improved or worsened the perceived persecution of Jews around the world? Has it protected or harmed Jewish people around the world and within Israel? The point was to protect Jews, but is that happening, or have the actions of Israeli leaders put all of us on the path towards WW3?

What crazy Israelis need is someone to tell them that it’s going to be OK. That the world does not hate them because they are Jewish (they aren’t really, anyway). It does not hate them because they are Zionists. It doesn’t hate them at all. The world is there and it sees them. It sees through their neurotic madness. What they think of as “the world” is not the world. The world sees that they are hurting and are taking this hurt out on those around them, resulting in that hurt being reflected back at them. What they think of as “the world” is just an echo — a logical result of their own actions. A situation that so many people find themselves in, from so many races, from so many places. Israelis are not chosen or special in this regard.

EDIT: This interview with non-Zionist Jew Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro does a far better job of covering the subject of “Jews vs Zionists” than I ever can. He’s able to clear up the differences between Jews and Zionists better than anyone I know.

Although, I have heard people dispute this, claiming that today’s “Jews” and the Bible’s “Israelites” are two different groups. I am not an expert on this and it’s really quite irrelevant to my overall point.

Fixing American Cities

Cities in America underestimate the value of greenery and the value of high-quality public transportation.

Instead, they emphasize cars and various shades of gray: sidewalks, asphalt, cement, and concrete.

If we are not improving this situation, we are declining.

High-quality public transportation takes people out of their isolated motion pods, and puts them in contact with one another.

A high-quality environment helps people actually enjoy being present to each other’s company instead of being afraid of one another.

We cannot allow cities to remain the way that they are — that will lead to rot and decay.

We must actively rejuvenate them instead of waiting for a multi-century decline and revival.

Do you know how long the Dark Ages lasted for? Longer than you & your children will live.

Instead of making Central Park and Golden Gate Park the exception, New York and San Francisco can make them the rule. Take what’s there and expand outward with that theme. Remove roads and connect the city together with a beautiful public transit system.

The Reason People Don’t Like Alex Jones

I have this theory as to why people don’t like Alex Jones, and it goes like this:

There is a large segment of the population who strongly prefer that their news be delivered to them in a very particular way.

They prefer that their world news be delivered by a calm, stoic, even friendly personality, like Tom Brokaw.

But Alex Jones is not that type of person.

Alex Jones gets angry. He gets genuinely upset over some of the news that he’s delivering.

And that’s not all.

Not only does Alex Jones get angry and yell, but he covers topics that are genuinely infuriating and upsetting. Topics that other anchors (like Tom Brokaw), will never touch in their life. Topics they would rather deny the truth of than cover.

But Alex Jones actually covers these topics. And gets mad. And yells. And shouts.

And this behavior short-circuits many people’s brains.

They are not used to this. The subject-matter is too upsetting, and if they were to take what Jones is saying seriously, they are afraid that they might turn into him, or worse.

So they would rather share made up stories about him, and laugh at him.

One more note on #AlexJones: does he spread misinformation?

Yes, but in this he and #InfoWars are no different than any other news organization.

The institutional bias against Jones stems from the stories he got right, not from the ones he got wrong.

Recently I came across a disturbing bit of news, the headline reads: Ky. couple on house arrest after not signing positive COVID-19 self-isolation order.

Putting aside the obvious objections (“fascism” etc.), here’s why even those who think COVID-19 is the worst thing may want to avoid “locking up healthy people” as a policy:

The news of people being placed under house arrest because a machine claims they’re infected with something (whether or not they have symptoms), will cause people — especially healthy/asymptomatic people — to stop getting tested.
If more healthy people stop getting tested, it means the tests will be biased much more in favor of the sick.
This means the CFR (case-fatality-rate) will increase. As of the writing of this post, the Kentucky CFR is 2.87% according to covidtracking.com.
If the CFR appears to increase significantly, mainstream media will likely run headlines of the following sort: “COVID-19 Mutates Into More Fatal Strain As Mortality Rate Rises!”
People will begin to panic, thinking the virus is now much deadlier than we thought before.
This will result in more draconian measures being taken, more people being isolated under house arrest who shouldn’t be, and possibly resulting in an even higher CFR.

Now, if, on the other hand, your goal is to put more healthy people under house arrest and sow chaos and destruction, then this is certainly a fantastic way to go about it!
